Guesthouse
Normandy · Trouville-la-Haule
A walled garden under hundred-year-old trees. Terraces, shade by mid-afternoon, the smell of Normandy in summer. The kind of place where you put everything down.
A heated in-ground pool beside a pink pool house. There is nothing left to organise. That is exactly the point.
La Boissière is never shared with strangers. Twelve guests, one whole house, and the sort of days people still bring up years later.
Worked ceilings, doors found at auction, fabrics that have lived a little. Nothing here was decorated — it was gathered, patiently, over years.
Honfleur, Deauville, the cliffs, the Normandy markets — all of it within reach. And the house is waiting for nobody but you.
A timber-framed Normandy cider press and, across the garden, a pink pool house set at the water's edge. Five bedrooms in the first, two of them interconnecting for families; a sixth on a mezzanine in the second.
Twelve people in all. The house is let whole, never by the room: you will not cross paths with another guest from the first day to the last.
A fifteen-metre in-ground pool, heated from May to October, in a walled garden. A long table for twelve under the pool house rafters, which is where everyone ends up anyway.
Wi-Fi, parking, and all bed and bath linen changed for every stay. Two nights minimum, four in high summer. End-of-stay cleaning is a single flat fee — the details are here.
Trouville-la-Haule, in the Eure, between Pont-Audemer and the Seine. Shops, restaurants and indoor activities are ten minutes away.
Honfleur is thirty minutes, Deauville forty, Jumièges Abbey forty-five, and Paris an hour and forty. Far enough for the quiet to come back, near enough to give up nothing — our addresses nearby.
